Job summary

Bayside City Council’s Bayside Care and Support team is looking for compassionate domestic support workers to help older people live safely and independently at home across Bayside and Glen Eira, including Brighton and Caulfield. You don’t need prior aged care experience; we provide paid training and ongoing support.

This part-time role offers guaranteed hours in a stable local government setting, with a focus on respect and community wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at least 4 weekdays between 9am to 3pm.
• Reliable car and a current Victorian driver’s license.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Willing to obtain Police Check and Working with Children Check; cost covered by us.

Responsibilities

• Domestic support to maintain a safe, clean home environment.
• Vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen cleaning.
• Changing bed linen and light laundry.
• Travel between clients’ homes within Bayside and Glen Eira; build relationships with clients.
