Job summary

Just Better Care Adelaide is seeking a Casual Community Support Professional to join our in-home aged care team as a Support Worker. You’ll provide flexible shifts across Adelaide, with local area scheduling and minimal driving.

Duties include personal care, social support, light domestic tasks and transport. You’ll need NDIS screening, a police check, up-to-date First Aid/CPR, a current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Smartphone with internet access

Join our caring and dedicated aged care team as a Support Worker, offering flexible work that fits your availability while helping our clients maintain their independence at home.

Summary:

• Role: Community Support Professional (Casual)
• Where: We support customers across Adelaide and aim to schedule your shifts within your local area, with no more than 25 minutes of driving.
• Pay: Rates start at $43 per hour including casual loading + penalties + superannuation.
• Shifts: Regular Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you:

• Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
• Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Criminal Record Check
• Updated First Aid, CPR & Manual Handling Certificates
• Current Driver's License
• Reliable access to a roadworthy vehicle.

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, Disability Services or a related qualification is desirable but not essential.
