Job summary

Just Better Care is seeking skilled Community Support Workers to deliver in-home disability and aged care services in the Browns Plains area. Casual position with runs 15–25 hours, weekdays and weekends available, supporting clients in their own homes with personal care and everyday tasks.

You will work with a caring team, using a mobile app to log notes and rosters, while building rapport and adapting to each client’s needs. Relevant qualifications and a current QLD license are required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Comfortable using mobile apps for rostering and notes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, medication assistance).
• Provide social support and transport to activities and medical appointments.
• Assist with domestic tasks including light cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
• Assist clients with use of aids and equipment; support those with complex needs.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress; update notes after each service.

We are currently seeking high skilled Disability Support Workers to join our caring and dynamic team to provide high quality in‑home support services as clients in Brown Plains Marsden Surrounding suburbs with nice runs meeting 15 - 25 hours - Weekday and weekend work available!

Across Australia Just Better Care provides in‑home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. For over 15 years, we have been supporting older people, and people living with disability, to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community. Our friendly, compassionate and experienced team makes this possible.

Duties and responsibilities include:

High Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance

Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments

Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation

Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment

Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs

Monitoring the well‑being of customers and reporting on their progress

Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you:

What you will need:

Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services

Current Australian (QLD) Drivers License

The right to work in Australia with ability to provide 100 points of I.D.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)

Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Current First Aid certificate/CPR

Current Reliable, registered, and current insured vehicle - Certificate of currency

NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module certificate
