Job summary

Just Better Care in Wangaratta, Victoria, is seeking dedicated Support Workers for in-home aged care and disability support services. This casual/contract role involves personalised care, social support, and domestic assistance to help clients live independently at home.

Roster includes morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts. Applicants should have a relevant certificate and current screening; driver’s license and vehicle preferred. Training and support are provided.

Job Description

Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently.

For over 15 years, we have been supporting older people, and people living with disability, to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community. Our friendly, compassionate and experienced team makes this possible. We are currently looking for dedicated Support Workers to join a team within the Wangaratta area to work with a customer that requires full time care.

The roster for this team is broken up into 3 time slots

• Morning
• 8am to 4pm
• Afternoon
• 2pm to 10pm
• Overnight
• 8pm to 8am

Pay rates range from

• Week days - $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
• Weekend and Public holiday rates - $45.00+ per hour

Duties and responsibilities include: Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping, travelling to medical appointments Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, meal preparation Supporting the customer in the use of aids and personal equipment Supporting the customer with complex and/or challenging needs Monitoring the well-being of the customer and reporting on their progress Provide updates on the customer's progress following each service

About you:

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check Current First Aid certificate/CPR Current Australian Drivers License Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle Smart phone with internet access Certificate III or IV in Disability Services, Aged Care, Home & Community Care, or Individual Support Manual Handling Certificate Medication Administration certificate is an advantage
