Job summary

Just Better Care in Australia is seeking a casual care worker to support clients at home across the Rockhampton region. Choose hours that fit your lifestyle, with availability between 6am and 9pm, seven days a week, for 10–15 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
• Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, and appointments.
• Domestic assistance: light cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Assistance with aids and personal equipment.
• Support for complex or challenging needs.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress.
• Provide updates on customer progress after each service.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance

Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments

Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation

Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment

Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs

Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress

Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you:

Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills

Ability to build rapport & good working relationships

Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need:

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check

• Current First Aid certificate/CPR

Current Australian Drivers License

Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle

Smart phone with internet access

Current Working with Children Check (preferred)
