Job summary

Just Better Care in Bundalong is seeking a casual Support Worker to provide in-home aged care and disability support near the Wangaratta area. You will work across morning, afternoon and sleepover rosters to support a customer requiring full-time care in their own home.

Responsibilities include personal care, social support and domestic tasks, with clear focus on safety and quality of life. NDIS screening, first aid, and a valid driver’s license are required, and a reliable vehicle is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the field is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships.
• Comfortable using technology (mobile app) for rosters and notes.

Responsibilities

• Personal care incl. showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
• Social support/transport to activities and medical appointments.
• Domestic assistance: light cleaning and meal preparation.
• Support with aids and complex needs.
• Monitor well-being and report progress; provide updates after each service.

We are currently looking for dedicated Support Worker to join a team near the Wangaratta area to work with a customer that requires full time care.

The roster for this team is broken up into 3 time slots

• Morning - 8am to 2pm
• Afternoon - 2pm to10pm
• Sleepover - 8pm to 10am

Pay rates range from

• Weekdays - $34.99 - $40.00 per hour
• Weeknight - 39.19 - $43.71 per hour
• Weekend and Public holiday rates - $48.00+ per hour

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping, travelling to medical appointments
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, meal preparation
• Supporting the customer in the use of aids and personal equipment
• Supporting the customer with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of the customer and reporting on their progress
• Provide updates on the customer’s progress following each service

About you:
