Job summary

Just Better Care delivers in-home aged care and disability support across Australia, helping people live independently in their own homes. We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to join a caring, dynamic team providing high-quality in-home services to our valued customers.

You will support personal care, social activities, transport, and domestic tasks, while using mobile apps to record notes and access rosters. Training and ongoing support are provided to help you grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and work well with others.
• Comfortable using apps/tech to access rosters and record notes.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
• Social support/transport for activities, shopping, appointments.
• Domestic assistance: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Assist customers with use of aids and equipment.
• Support customers with complex or challenging needs.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress.
• Provide updates on customer progress after each service.

Duties and responsibilities include

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you

• Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
• Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
• Proof of Vaccination(where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
• Current First Aid certificate/CPR
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
• Smartphone with internet access
• Current Working with Children Check (preferred)
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
