Job summary

Just Better Care is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide in-home aged care and disability support in the Blue Mountains area. Work casual hours and support local customers to live independently in their own homes while staying connected to the community.

You will assist with personal care, social activities, meal prep and transportation, using a mobile app for rosters and notes. Strong interpersonal skills and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance/Criminal Record Check.
• Current First Aid certificate/CPR.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
• Smartphone with internet access.
• Current Working with Children Check (preferred).
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
• Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments.
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment.
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs.
• Monitoring the wellbeing of customers and reporting on their progress.
• Provide updates on customer progress following each service.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance

About you:

Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills

Ability to build rapport & good working relationships

Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need:
