Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Status.
• Current First Aid certificate/CPR.
• Current Australian or International Drivers Licence.
• Reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Smart phone with internet access.
• Current Working with Vulnerable People Check (ACT only).
• Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
• Assist with light domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Offer social support and transport to activities and medical appointments.
• Support customers in using aids and equipment like frames and wheelchairs.
• Support customers with complex or challenging needs.
• Monitor well-being and report progress to the team.
• Participate in staff meetings and attend training as required.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
