Freo Group Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Supervisor to lead day-to-day site operations across Australia’s mining, oil & gas, infrastructure and renewables sectors. You will coordinate labour, plant, rigging and contractors, delivering safe, efficient outcomes for Tier 1 clients while upholding a strong safety culture.

The role requires a trade background with rigging qualifications and proven supervision experience in demanding environments.

• Trade qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience in crane hire, construction, mining, maintenance or heavy industry.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and supervise daily site operations, delivering safe, efficient, high-quality work.
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, rigging, and subcontractor requirements.
• Champion a proactive safety culture via pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments.
• Ensure lifting activities comply with legislation, procedures and client specs.
• Provide direction and coaching to employees, contractors and subcontractors.
• Oversee work planning, scheduling, mobilisation and demobilisation.
• Monitor site performance, identify risks and implement solutions.
• Build relationships with clients, operations leaders and stakeholders.
• Ensure plant and rigging are maintained and inspected.
• Maintain accurate site records and safety documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement for safety, productivity and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Relevant trade qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience within the crane hire, construction, mining, maintenance or heavy industry sectors.
• Minimum Intermediate Rigging (RI) High Risk Work Licence, with additional relevant licences and competencies highly regarded.
• Relevant statutory supervisory qualifications applicable to the location, including Section 26 (WA) or recognised Queensland Coal Mining Supervisor competencies, where required.
• Proven experience supervising operational teams, contractors and subcontractors in demanding site‑based environments.
• Strong technical understanding of lifting operations, plant, equipment, rigging and associated site requirements.
• Sound knowledge of HSEQ legislation, risk management, safe work practices and operational compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and deliver work activities safely, efficiently and within operational timeframes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams, manage performance and build a positive safety culture.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organisational and decision‑making skills, with a proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
• Commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes, continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and supervise daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, rigging, tooling and subcontractor requirements to achieve operational objectives.
• Champion a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments and site inspections.
• Ensure all lifting activities and operational works comply with relevant legislation, company procedures, client specifications and HSEQ requirements.
• Provide clear direction, coaching and support to employees, contractors and subcontractors to build a capable, accountable and high‑performing team.
• Oversee work planning, scheduling, mobilisation and demobilisation activities to support seamless operational delivery.
• Monitor site performance, identify operational risks and implement practical solutions to maintain productivity and service quality.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, operational leaders and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure plant, equipment and rigging are maintained, inspected and operated in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, safety documentation and operational reporting, ensuring incidents and hazards are appropriately managed.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
