Job summary

Freo Group is seeking Intermediate and Experienced Crane Operators to support major projects across Mining, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Renewables. With a safety-first mindset and a hands-on approach, you’ll operate cranes and lifts on high-profile Australian projects.

You’ll bring a current high-risk licence package and at least 12 months of operating experience, plus a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current high risk licences CO, C1, C6, C2, CN.
• At least twelve months’ relevant operating experience.
• Strong commitment to safety with no shortcuts.
• Ability to follow lift plans and communicate clearly.
• Desirable MC or HR licence.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, efficient crane and lifting operations on major projects.
• Carry out operating activities within qualifications and experience.
• Work with crew to prepare and execute lifts.
• Follow lift plans, site procedures and safety requirements.
• Complete pre-start checks and care for equipment.
• Look out for crew and ensure everyone goes home safely.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for Intermediate and Experienced Crane Operators who know their trade, take pride in their work and back their mates. If you bring the right tickets, a strong work ethic and a safety-first attitude, we’ll give you the opportunity to put your skills to work on major projects with an established Australian crane and lifting business.

What you’ll bring

• A current CO, C1, C6, C2, CN High Risk Work Licence
• At least twelve months’ relevant operating experience
• A strong commitment to safety, with no shortcuts and no compromises
• The ability to follow lift plans, communicate clearly and work as part of a team
• A reliable, hands-on approach and pride in the quality of your work
• Desirable: Current MC or HR driver’s licence

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting safe, efficient crane and lifting operations across major projects
• Carrying out operating activities within your qualifications, competencies and experience
• Working alongside your crew to prepare and execute lifts
• Following lift plans, site procedures and established safety requirements
• Completing pre-start checks and taking care of equipment
• Looking out for your crew, speaking up when something isn’t right and making sure everyone gets home safely
