Job summary

Freo Group Pty Ltd is seeking Intermediate and Experienced Riggers for major mining, infrastructure and renewables projects across Australia. You will perform rigging activities, support safe crane operations, and work with crane operators to prepare and execute lifts on site.

Applicants should hold a current RI/RA/RB High Risk Work Licence, have at least six months rigging experience, and demonstrate a safety-first mindset with strong teamwork and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Valid RI/RA/RB High Risk Work Licence.
• Minimum six months' rigging experience.
• Strong commitment to safety with no shortcuts.
• Ability to follow lift plans and work in a team.
• Reliable, hands-on approach and pride in quality.
• Desirable: MC or HR driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support safe crane and lifting operations on major projects.
• Carry out rigging activities within your qualifications.
• Work with crane operators and crew to prepare and execute lifts.
• Follow lift plans, site procedures and safety requirements.
• Complete pre-start checks and care for equipment.
• Look out for your crew and ensure everyone goes home safely.

• Supporting safe, efficient crane and lifting operations across major projects
• Carrying out rigging activities within your qualifications, competencies and experience
• Working alongside crane operators and your crew to prepare and execute lifts
• Following lift plans, site procedures and established safety requirements
• Completing pre‑start checks and taking care of equipment
• Looking out for your crew, speaking up when something isn’t right and making sure everyone gets home safely
