Job summary

Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is seeking a Regional Support Officer for the Sunshine Coast to provide day-to-day administrative support to the regional team, committees, clubs and volunteers. This fixed-term role (casual or part-time, up to 25 hours/week) runs until February 2027 to cover parental leave.

You’ll prepare reports, coordinate events and ensure smooth operations across the Sunshine Coast Branch while building strong relationships with staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• A current Working with Children Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one.
• Experience providing efficient administrative support to a variety of stakeholders.
• An understanding of surf lifesaving or similar community and volunteer-based organisations, including experience working with volunteers.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and submitting clear, accurate reports within required timeframes.
• Strong computer literacy and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet competing deadlines.
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a broader team.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to regional team members to ensure the effective operation of the Sunshine Coast Branch.
• Provide administration support and advice to Sunshine Coast Branch Committees, Office Bearers and Clubs.
• Prepare and distribute correspondence, letters, memorandums, circulars, and agendas.
• Assist with the preparation and collation of reports, statistics and other administrative information for SLSQ and Branch reporting requirements.
• Support the coordination and delivery of regional events, workshops and training sessions.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers and key stakeholders.
