Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Home & Community Assistant to support Queensland Community Support Scheme clients on the Sunshine Coast. This permanent part-time role involves helping clients maintain independence, with shifts between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and travel across Nambour to Golden Beach.

A kilometre reimbursement applies and the hourly rate starts at $36.22 plus super. Applicants should have Cert III in Support, a valid Australian driver’s licence and a current First

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or ageing support, or equivalent.
• Australian Driver’s Licence with a reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate or eligible to obtain before starting.

Responsibilities

• Domestic assistance including light cleaning and meal preparation.
• Personal care including showering and daily hygiene.
• Skill development and social support.
• Community access to appointments, social events and shopping.
• Promote independence according to individual needs and goals.
