Job summary

Sunshine Coast Public Sector People is recruiting Customer Contact Officers for a Local Government organisation. These casual opportunities start 17 November 2026 and offer a busy, community-focused customer service environment.

You’ll be the first point of contact for residents, businesses and visitors, assisting with enquiries, applications, service requests and transactions while upholding a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Previous Local Government or contact centre experience will be highly regarded.
• Experience in customer service, contact centres or high-volume customer-facing environments.
• Current C Class driver's licence and flexibility to work across Sunshine Coast locations.
• Completion of Year 12 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face enquiries
• Manage service requests, complaints, and general enquiries
• Process applications, payments, and administrative transactions
• Maintain accurate records and customer information
• Provide administrative support to the wider team as required
• Work collaboratively to meet service delivery targets
