Job summary

RMIT University in Australia is seeking a Studio Assistant to support staff and students across studio-based and blended learning activities. You will mentor peers, assist with Learning and Teaching functions, and help prepare studios and equipment to ensure positive learning outcomes.

Responsibilities include assisting with events, providing user support for learning technologies, and reporting equipment issues to Facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student in the School of Architecture and Urban Design during any tenured employment periods.
• Knowledge of OH&S practices and safe working procedures is advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to support staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Support student enquiry hot desk as assigned by rosters.
• Provide ad-hoc assistance to School events and student representative committees.
• Provide instruction to students and staff in relation to current studio-based technologies.
• Provide peer-to-peer mentoring to students and assist with Learning and Teaching functions.
• Prepare studios and equipment to ensure learning outcomes.
• Provide first-level support to staff using learning technologies in studio spaces.
