Job summary

CEA CAPA Sydney Centre is seeking a Student Support Coordinator to deliver high-quality support services for American college and university students studying in Sydney. You will liaise with students, university partners, accommodation providers and external suppliers to create a welcoming and safe environment.

The role covers events management, student welfare, reception operations, health and safety, housing and crisis response, with regular evening and weekend activity involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service and genuine passion for working with university students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience coordinating events, activities or group programs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver student activities, cultural events, excursions, educational visits and social programs.
• Assist with student arrivals, departures, orientation programs, and welcome events.
• Engage in evening and weekend activities to help students engage with Australian culture.
• Provide high-quality student support and advising for a positive study abroad experience.
• Support the Director with welfare concerns, disciplinary matters and crisis situations.
• Conduct welfare check-ins and maintain regular contact with students.
• Be a welcoming first point of contact for students, visitors and partners at the Sydney Centre.
• Create program calendars, activity schedules and itineraries.
• Collaborate with Student Support, Academic and Internship teams to support program delivery.
• Participate in emergency phone rotation to provide student emergency support.
