Job summary

Harrison-Barratt-Group is seeking an experienced Site Foreman for residential construction in Sydney. The role focuses on day-to-day on-site management to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budgets and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in foreman roles within residential construction, a trade background, and strong leadership and communication skills. This is a permanent, full-time position with a broad residential project pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a foreman or site supervisory role within residential construction.
• Trade background preferred (carpentry, building, or related trade).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience managing teams and coordinating subcontractors effectively.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Safety-focused with a keen eye for risk identification and mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage construction activities across structural, finishing, and trade coordination stages.
• Supervise, lead, and coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide progress updates and resolve issues.
• Review and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure work meets required standards and deadlines.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize daily site tasks for efficient workflow.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical or construction issues as they arise.
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and well-maintained.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs and safety reports.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, quality control, and safety.
