Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Supplier Engineering Manager to drive strategic supply network development and cost management across product lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

The role emphasizes sourcing strategy, BOM optimization for ramped production, NPI component procurement, and heavy focus on reducing total cost of ownership while navigating high-tech, high-mix, low-volume

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical and/or electronics design and development.
• Experience with advanced sourcing and commodity management.
• Early supplier engagement before product/engineering requirements realization.
• Expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO work at component/product level.
• Experience in high-tech products with high-mix, low-volume environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or related technical field.
• Eligible to obtain Australian NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade-offs, TCO).
• Develop sourcing strategy via market knowledge, supplier rationalisation, and cost plans.
• Drive BOM development with Quality & Manufacturing for ramped production.
• Ensure on-time procurement for NPI components and CAPEX verification.
• Lead cost engineering to converge to product cost and maximize TCO.
• Reduce supply chain complexity through commonality optimization and supplier rationalisation.
