Job summary

Allset Engineering Pty Ltd in Riverstone, NSW is seeking a experienced Purchasing / Stores Manager to lead procurement, inventory and stores operations on a full-time basis. You will drive supplier sourcing, negotiate contracts, oversee stock control and ensure timely material flow across the manufacturing facility.

Reporting to senior management, the role requires strong negotiation, ERP experience, and the ability to optimise costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing and inventory management in manufacturing/engineering
• Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
• Experience with ERP and inventory software
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills
• Analytical, cost-reduction and process-improvement focus
• Attention to detail and organisation for multiple priorities
• Leadership and ability to supervise and develop teams
• Strong cross-department communication
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Tertiary qualification desirable in related field
• Experience with manufacturing processes and technical components highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Manage all purchasing activities, source suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing
• Oversee inventory management, stock levels, tracking and reconciliation
• Receive, inspect and document incoming goods per quality standards
• Coordinate with production, engineering and finance to forecast material needs
• Maintain stores facilities and efficient material storage and retrieval systems
• Manage supplier relationships and delivery/quality communications
• Prepare purchasing and inventory reports and cost analyses
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance in stores and procurement
• Train and supervise stores personnel; manage budget for materials
