Job summary

Seeley International in Australia is seeking a procurement professional to manage direct materials for production. You will release POs, schedule deliveries, organise freight and expedite production changes. You will maintain ERP data, run RFQ processes and drive spend optimisation while preserving supply quality.

You’ll collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Sales to keep production lines supplied on time and cost effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong background in purchasing, logistics or inventory management.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, systems and procedures.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships and records for all suppliers assigned to the role.
• Release purchase orders and delivery schedules on time; secure acknowledgements.
• Organise freight requirements and liaise with logistics agents.
• Expedite in response to ERP exception messages and production changes.
• Maintain ERP records including item master, cost and price tables.
• Run RFQ processes from supplier identification to selection.
• Support inventory optimisation and reconcile stock.
• Manage supplier quality issues and invoice queries.
• Measure supplier performance and report results.
