Job summary

Northstone Talent Partners in Sydney is seeking a hands-on procurement professional to shape end-to-end supply chain procurement for a logistics business expanding across Australia. You will develop the procurement strategy for goods, services and freight, build the local vendor network and lead tenders, negotiations and contract execution.

Working with sales, operations and the warehouse team, you will align supply arrangements with growth plans, manage supplier relationships, and deliver cost

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or supply chain, logistics, freight or transport.
• Strong network of supplier relationships within logistics or freight is a plus.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations and cost management.
• Proficient with ERP, Excel and related business software.
• Analytical mindset able to turn data into strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement strategy covering goods, services and freight.
• Identify, onboard and develop local and international vendors.
• Lead end-to-end tenders, negotiations and contract execution.
• Negotiate pricing, rebates, terms and freight arrangements.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Forecast and replace reactive ordering with structured planning.
• Manage inbound logistics and associated costs.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead times.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and warehouse teams.
• Develop procurement reporting, controls and KPIs.
• Deliver cost-saving initiatives across goods, services and freight.
