Job summary

Fieldtech Solutions is seeking a hands-on Purchasing Officer to join our Sunshine West team. You will manage end-to-end purchasing, control stock levels, coordinate supplier deliveries, and maintain accurate NetSuite records to support efficient operations.

You will work with domestic and international suppliers, use Excel for data analysis, and contribute to stock takes and cost reviews. The role offers a full-time, on-site position with training and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in purchasing, procurement, materials planning, supply planning, or inventory management.
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems, with NetSuite experience highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including raising purchase orders, confirming orders, communicating with suppliers, and receipting goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to maintain product availability.
  • Review excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock, making recommendations where appropriate.
  • Expedite urgent orders and proactively manage supply risks to minimise stock shortages and delivery delays.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records within NetSuite.
  • Support regular stock takes and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Analyse inventory data using NetSuite and customised Excel reports to assist purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate and track domestic and international freight shipments.
  • Receive purchase orders and accurately process incoming stock into the ERP system.
  • Review landed costs for imported stock and maintain accurate product costing within NetSuite and supporting spreadsheets.

Job description

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with management and key team members, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating supplier deliveries, and supporting efficient stock management across the business. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships with both domestic and international suppliers. Our business uses NetSuite ERP to manage purchasing and inventory, together with customised Excel reports to support purchasing decisions. Confidence using ERP systems and Excel is essential.

About you

At least two years' experience in purchasing, procurement, materials planning, supply planning, or inventory management.

A sound understanding of purchasing processes, inventory control, supplier management, and demand planning.

Experience using ERP or MRP systems, with NetSuite experience highly regarded.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
