Job summary

REMONDIS Jandakot Resource Recovery Facility in WA is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our on-site operations and drive safety, productivity, and profitability. You will coach drivers and supervisors, optimise routes and schedules, and oversee daily collection activities to meet customer requirements.

The role combines strategic direction with hands-on leadership, building a high-performing team and delivering measurable improvements for REMONDIS and our clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading logistics or transport operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong background in heavy vehicles, fleet management or transport logistics.
• Hands-on leadership style with coaching and accountability for drivers and supervisors.
• Experience in the waste/environmental services sector is highly regarded; routing and scheduling knowledge.
• Commercial acumen with budgeting, cost control and profitability improvements.
• HR driver license is preferred, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily collection and transport operations, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Coach and develop drivers and supervisors for performance and accountability.
• Optimise routes, scheduling and resource use to improve fleet utilisation.
• Manage costs and deliver improvements to profitability.
• Coordinate fleet availability with workshop and maintenance teams.
• Strengthen customer relationships and resolve service issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using frontline feedback and data.
