Job summary

REMONDIS Australia is seeking a senior operations leader to guide the St Marys site in Sydney. You will oversee daily collection and transport activities, shape strategic direction and coach a high-performing team to meet safety, compliance and customer requirements.

This hands-on role blends on-site leadership with commercial accountability, with opportunities to improve routes, productivity and profitability while developing drivers and supervisors across the operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading logistics or transport operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong background in heavy vehicles, fleet management or transport logistics.
• Hands-on leadership with clear expectations, coaching and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily collection and transport activities, ensuring safety, compliance and customer requirements.
• Coach and develop drivers and supervisors, strengthen accountability and address performance issues constructively.
• Optimise routes, scheduling and resource allocation to improve fleet utilisation and service efficiency.
• Take ownership of operational financial performance, manage costs and implement profitability improvements.
• Coordinate fleet availability with workshop and maintenance teams to support vehicle reliability and reduce downtime.
• Strengthen customer relationships by collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve service issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using operational data and frontline feedback to identify issues and track results.
