Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking a senior professional to oversee end-to-end rostering for Junior Medical Staff, aligning rostering strategy with clinical leaders and service priorities. You will manage day-to-day operations, leave management, reliever and locum utilisation, approve timesheets, and participate in after-hours on-call rostering to maintain continuous service delivery.

The role offers permanent full-time employment with 5 weeks annual leave, salary packaging, and access to staff

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in workforce coordination, rostering, and operational management within healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise agreements, payroll processes, leave management, and workforce compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, rostering, and shift coverage of Junior Medical Staff, ensuring compliance with the VIC DiT Enterprise Agreement and continuity of service delivery.
• Prepare, maintain, and coordinate medical workforce rosters, including leave management, roster changes, and effective utilisation of relievers and locums within allocated resources.
• Approve Junior Medical Staff timesheets and collaborate with Payroll, Medical Workforce, and Workforce Remuneration teams to ensure accurate and efficient employment and payroll processes.
• Participate in the after-hours medical workforce on-call roster, applying problem-solving and escalation skills to address staffing issues and maintain operational requirements.
