This role focuses on the marketplace strategy & operations piece of this puzzle and is ideal for someone with 7+ years experience who is equal parts strategic, analytical, commercial and enjoys working across many parts of the

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a strategy, operations or analyst roles, applying data and creativity to tackle strategic, big-picture business problems.
• Experience in marketplace operations, platform growth, retail strategy, or multi-sided platform dynamics.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing product teams and cross-functional partners.
• Hands-on experience with AI and automation tools (or a strong appetite to learn — we'll give you the tools and the runway).

Responsibilities

• Merchant Marketplace strategy: set the direction for what optimal marketplace operations look like for existing & new merchants in the marketplace
• Marketplace success for new launches: be a core member of Merchant launch teams and setting up new strategic partnerships for success
• Product led-change: Influence Central Operations & Product teams on changes that need to be made to drive success
• Maximise commercial return & partnership growth: Leverage Marketplace levers to maximise commercial return for Uber and our partners
• Cross-functional leadership: partner with Product, Sales, Commercial, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, and Central teams
• Team development: As the most senior individual contributor of the Marketplace Strategy & Operations team you will mentor and develop team members and be a leader across the broader Marketplace team
• Solve creatively in ambiguity: bring fresh ideas, test unconventional approaches, and build structured plans from complex data to tackle open-ended marketplace challenges.
