Job summary

Uber Eats is looking for a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager to join our APAC Merchant Growth team, leading the development of the regional Offers Strategy across markets. This role requires 5+ years in strategy or operations, strong SQL and advanced Excel, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners

About the role and team

Uber Eats is looking for a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager to join our APAC Merchant Growth team, leading the development of our regional Offers Strategy.

Offers are a critical lever for driving consumer affordability and merchant growth. In this role, you'll shape how we use promotions across APAC, identifying opportunities to grow merchant investment, unlock incremental demand, and deliver sustainable value for both our partners and Uber.

You'll work across diverse markets, balancing strategic thinking with analytical rigour to solve complex marketplace challenges. We're looking for someone who can turn data into clear commercial recommendations, navigate ambiguity, and influence cross-functional teams to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes.

What you'll do

• Define the regional Offers strategy: Develop the promotional strategy across APAC, identifying growth opportunities and the optimal mix of offers across markets, merchant segments, consumer occasions, and promotion types.
• Drive merchant-funded growth: Shape merchant-funded promotional investment strategies and develop scalable approaches that encourage merchant participation, drive incremental demand, and deliver sustainable value for both Uber and our partners.
• Turn insights into strategic decisions: Analyse marketplace performance, promotional effectiveness, merchant ROI, and incremental platform growth to identify opportunities, evaluate commercial trade-offs, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Influence regional execution: Partner with local Operations, Commercial, Finance, Product, and regional leadership teams to align on priorities, share best practices, and translate regional strategy into market-level action.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, commercial strategy, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and measurable business outcomes.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in marketplace businesses, e-commerce, food delivery, or other consumer-facing technology platforms.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience in promotional strategy, pricing, growth initiatives, or investment optimisation.
• Experience evaluating marketing or promotional effectiveness, including ROI, incrementality, and investment efficiency.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting complex analysis, articulating strategic recommendations, and influencing senior leadership decisions.
• Experience developing scalable strategic frameworks and translating them into practical operating models across multiple markets.
