Job summary

Baxter Australia is seeking a Market Planner to optimise finished goods inventory, deployment, and service levels across markets. You will partner with Commercial, Demand Planning, Logistics, Quality and Finance to balance inventory investment with customer experience and supply risk.

You will apply analytical skills, leverage Kinaxis Maestro and BI tools, and steer initiatives that improve service and reduce working capital while supporting launches and lifecycle activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in supply chain planning or inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret service, inventory, operational and financial metrics.
• Advanced Excel and planning tool proficiency (Kinaxis Maestro, ERP systems).
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for reporting and analysis.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and lean/continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own finished goods inventory health across assigned markets.
• Develop and deploy inventory and deployment strategies balancing service and working capital.
• Monitor metrics: service levels, backorders, inventory turns, costs.
• Lead redeployment, balancing, and reduction initiatives to boost productivity.
• Identify supply risks, develop recovery plans, and drive governance-driven resolutions.
• Coordinate PO management with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Support new product launches and lifecycle management.
• Analyze performance, identify root causes, and lead improvement initiatives.
• Assist financial planning through inventory forecasting and reserve management.
