Job summary

Abbott in Sydney, Australia, seeks an experienced Demand and Supply Planning Manager to lead our planning and inventory management across the product portfolio. Based in Macquarie Park, NSW, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager and coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Logistics, and global partners to balance supply continuity, costs, and service levels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, or supply chain management.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Experience forecasting, replenishment, and inventory planning processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced planning, prioritisation, and organisational capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the demand forecasting process across multiple product portfolios.
• Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts using historical sales data, market intelligence, customer trends, and commercial inputs.
• Facilitate regular demand review meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Finance stakeholders.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and implement initiatives to improve forecasting performance.
• Identify and communicate supply chain risks, demand fluctuations, and opportunities to key stakeholders.
• Support business planning activities through forecasting analysis and insights.
• Develop and maintain supply plans that align with forecasted demand and business requirements.
• Establish, monitor, and optimise MRP parameters including safety stock levels, lead times, reorder points, and planning settings.
• Ensure product availability while balancing inventory investment and working capital objectives.
• Create and manage purchase orders within SAP and other business systems.
• Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up on supplier commitments to ensure timely delivery.
