Job summary

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Pty Ltd in Adelaide, SA, is seeking a dedicated Business Development Manager to drive new business in the SA market. The role focuses on acquiring customers, presenting freight solutions, and coordinating with customer service and overseas offices.

You bring 3+ years in forwarding, a proven sales KPI track record, and strong communication; you’ll develop quotes, host visitors, and help grow the Hellmann network with professional service.

Qualifications

• Have at least 3+ years' minimum experience in the Forwarding industry.
• An experienced sales professional with a proven record of overachieving on your KPI.
• You have a proven track record of acquiring and building new business.
• You have sound knowledge of all facets of the end to end Freight Forwarding services.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Your professional presentation and communication skills, along with true passion for providing exceptional customer experiences will play a major role in achieving success, both professionally and personally.

Responsibilities

• To obtain new customers as per the sales target
• Prepare Sales Order Forms with the advice of Customer Service
• Prepare quotations for services for both potential and existing customers
• Host overseas sales visitors and national route development managers as required
• Qualify prospective customers via telephone or in person
• In conjunction with Service Department, send rate and service level instructions to appropriate overseas offices of the Hellmann network
• Taking appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances
• Customer service is crucial in this role which means you will need to exercise a level of professionalism and understanding when it comes to customer needs.
