Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Head of Governance, Risk and FinOps to drive strategic value and operational excellence across the Technology and Digital Data (TDD) department. You will partner with senior IT executives, finance, and delivery teams to establish robust control frameworks and data-driven cost insights.

You will lead governance forums, ensure policy compliance, track TDD-wide spend, and provide transparent reporting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in IT governance, risk management, and policy frameworks.
• Commercial awareness of software licensing, vendor contracts, and managed services.
• Experience reporting to executives with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Establish IT governance frameworks, policies, and decision rights with streamlined processes.
• Maintain end-to-end IT risk management including identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring, and executive escalation.
• Own the IT risk register and build risk ownership across technology leaders and teams.
• Support IT financial management and provide executive reporting on costs to highlight financial risks and efficiency opportunities.
• Define, track, and deliver key metrics, dashboards, and insights covering governance, risk, and financial performance.
