Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst for Technology, Digital and Data (TDD) to shape financial performance through analysis of trends and drivers. You will manage cost bases, lead cost-improvement initiatives, and support strategic decision-making aligned with organisational objectives.

You will partner with leadership, oversee month-end processes, and coordinate budgeting/forecasting while guiding offshore teams to deliver core financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CA/CPA qualification.
• 5+ years in a similar role, preferably in Technology cost management.
• Experience budgeting/forecasting with planning and analytics tools.
• Strong communication to convey insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide business partnering support and develop business cases.
• Monitor project performance against strategic goals and analyse capital expenditure and non-financial metrics.
• Oversee month-end closing, forecast and budgeting processes including Salaries & Wages and time spent on projects.
• Lead cost-improvement initiatives and streamline reporting to improve profitability.
• Support procurement on contract renewals and analyse P&L impacts.
• Oversee offshore team delivery for core financial outcomes and reporting.
