Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Head of Governance, Risk and FinOps to drive strategic IT governance and comprehensive risk management across the Technology and Digital Data department. You will partner with senior IT executives, finance, and delivery teams to establish control frameworks, manage spend, and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in IT governance, risk management and policy implementation.
• Experience implementing governance with practical controls in complex environments.
• Strong ability to translate financial and risk data to exec-level insights.

Responsibilities

• Establish and run IT governance frameworks, forums and policies.
• Develop end-to-end IT risk management covering identification to escalation.
• Own IT risk register and build risk ownership across tech teams.
• Support IT financial management and provide executive cost reporting.
• Define metrics and dashboards for governance, risk and financial performance.
• Ensure governance structures operate effectively with enabling controls.
