Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst for Technology, Digital and Data (TDD). You’ll partner with leadership, analyze performance, and steer cost initiatives to align with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA or CPA.
• 5+ years in a similar role with experience in Technology cost management, contract outcomes, and building business cases.
• Commercial and technical expertise in budgeting/forecasting with hands-on use of financial systems like TM1, JDE, and BI tools.
• Strong communicator able to translate financial data for leadership/non-financial stakeholders.
• Strategic, analytical problem-solver with a focus on cost-saving and process improvements.
• Collaborator who can work with offshore contributors in a global setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide business partnering support, develop business cases, and conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Monitor project performance, track capex, analyze non-financial metrics and macro factors to anticipate trends.
• Oversee month-end, support forecast/budget processes including salaries, vacancies, and project cost capitalization.
• Lead cost improvement initiatives and streamline reporting with new capabilities.
• Support Procurement on contract renewals and P&L impact analyses.
• Oversee offshore team performance ensuring core financial outcomes and budget maintenance.
