Job summary

Rydges Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Sales Executive in South Brisbane to develop new conference and events opportunities and manage a growing account base. You’ll report to the Director of Sales and contribute to the hotel’s annual revenue plan, driving relationships with planners and procurement contacts.

You’ll lead prospecting efforts, coordinate site inspections, and collaborate with operations to deliver on sales commitments while supporting monthly forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build relationships with decision makers and procurement contacts.
• Experience in cold and warm prospecting to generate new business.
• Strong research and account management skills.
• Good administration and organisation, including database input and client file tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers, meeting planners and procurement contacts within your managed accounts.
• Prospect for new conference and events clients through cold and warm calling to build a strong pipeline.
• Identify need periods and develop strategies to drive business within them.
• Support sales initiatives such as site inspections, client entertainment, familiarisations and client gifting.
• Work with the Conference and Events Coordinator and operations teams to make sure sales commitments are delivered.
• Assist with monthly reports, forecasts and budgets, working to achieve and exceed targets.
