Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead identification, shaping, development and capture of strategic opportunities within the MFC portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.

In this senior role you will drive growth, build strong relationships with senior customers and government stakeholders, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver major opportunities from engagement to contract award.

Qualifications

• You are an experienced business development professional and strategic leader with a proven track record of developing and capturing complex opportunities within the defence or national security sector.
• Strong knowledge of MFC related technologies in defence or national security sectors.
• Extensive experience in business development, capture management, strategy or related discipline within defence or national security sector.
• Knowledge of the US Government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and execution of the MFC Australia and New Zealand business development and growth strategy within the BD team.
• Identify, assess and prioritise strategic business opportunities across defence and national security markets.
• Contribute to shaping and capture of major opportunities from early customer engagement through to contract award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior customers, government stakeholders, industry partners and internal stakeholders.
• Act as a central point of contact for MFC strategy and business development activities across Australia and New Zealand.
• Drive collaboration across MFC Lines of Business and the broader Lockheed Martin organisation to maximise growth opportunities.
• Provide strategic, objective assessments and recommendations to senior leadership on market opportunities, competitive positioning, risks and probability of success.
