Job summary

Australian Digital Health Agency in Sydney NSW is seeking a Data Governance Advisor (APS6) to strengthen organisational capability through robust data governance, data quality and compliance across the agency.

Reporting to the Data Governance team, you will coordinate data maturity assessments, manage the Data Asset Register, develop clear guidance for stakeholders, and support inter-governmental data initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and security.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in data governance, data management, or information management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience delivering data-related projects in complex environments with good judgement on sensitive information.
• Well-developed communication skills for briefs, presentations and guidance materials.
• Ability to interpret policies and governance requirements to support organisational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data maturity assessments and maintain the Data Asset Register.
• Develop communications and resources for a range of audiences.
• Work with Data Stewards and stakeholders to embed sound data management practices.
• Support key programs of work and inter-governmental data initiatives.
• Coordinate team administration activities including SharePoint management and meeting coordination.
