Job summary

Whizdom is seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to partner with senior stakeholders and translate data-management principles into practical governance frameworks, controls and business processes.

This 6-month, Sydney- onsite role focuses on data ownership, quality, compliance, and transparency across the enterprise, embedding governance into day-to-day operations while working with data owners, stewards and tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data-governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.

• Facilitate governance workshops, forums and stakeholder discussions.
• Support business glossary, metadata, data lineage and data-classification initiatives.
• Define and monitor data-quality controls, measures and remediation activities.
• Assess existing governance practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop governance artefacts, process documentation and reporting.

Data Governance Consultant

We are partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to engage an experienced Data Governance Consultant. This role will suit a collaborative governance professional who can translate data-management principles into practical frameworks, controls and business processes.

About the Role

You will support the development and implementation of enterprise data-governance practices, working closely with business owners, data stewards, technology teams and senior stakeholders.

The role will focus on strengthening data ownership, quality, compliance and transparency across the organisation while embedding sustainable governance practices into day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data-governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
