Job summary

Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council in Sydney CBD NSW seeks a Senior Policy Officer to drive policy development for ADS&G under PR4. You will provide evidence-based advice and lead reform initiatives, shaping data governance with Aboriginal sovereignty in mind.

Qualifications

• This is an identified position for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants.
• Senior policy experience in regulated, political or community settings.
• Experience writing briefs, reports and policy materials for decision makers.
• Knowledge of government policy development frameworks and ADS&G is desirable.
• NSW Driver’s Licence and ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy and reform initiatives to operationalise ADS&G in NSW.
• Design policy approaches aligned with PR4 commitments.
• Identify policy issues and synthesize evidence for positions and options.
• Provide timely, evidence-based policy advice to inform decisions.
• Represent the PR4 Team at forums and build government partnerships.
