Job summary

City of Melbourne is seeking a Community Engagement and Impact Advisor to strengthen engagement practices across the organisation. You will plan, deliver and evaluate inclusive engagement projects, provide expert advice, and contribute to tools and resources that enhance outcomes for Melbourne's diverse communities.

This role offers the opportunity to influence organisation-wide engagement, support innovative projects, and work with a collaborative team on meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of community engagement principles and best-practice approaches.
• Experience engaging with diverse communities including CALD, First Nations, youth, LGBTIQA+ and people with disability.
• Excellent relationship management and ability to influence stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in project management and delivery of engagement activities.
• Ability to synthesise research and insights to advise decision making.
• Develop and improve engagement resources, tools and templates.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support on community engagement planning, delivery and evaluation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through systems, tools, templates and processes.
• Undertake research, analyse insights and identify best-practice approaches.
• Build relationships across Council to embed engagement policy and priorities.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to support positive community outcomes.
