Job summary

City of Port Phillip is seeking a Community Support and Projects Officer to support the Community and Social Planning team in delivering projects, engagement activities and process improvements. You’ll help keep initiatives on track, engage stakeholders and ensure efficient systems.

This role offers variety, community connection and the chance to influence outcomes across the city, with flexible working arrangements from St Kilda Town Hall.

Qualifications

• Experience in community development, community engagement, administration, project support or customer-focused roles.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written communication and report/presentation preparation.
• Collaborative approach with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Curiosity, initiative and a desire to improve systems, processes and customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supporting community projects from planning through delivery.
• Coordinating community engagement activities, workshops, consultations and events.
• Building positive relationships with community members, service providers and stakeholders.
• Preparing reports, presentations, communications and digital content.
• Managing procurement, reporting, records and administration processes.
• Finding smarter ways of working and contributing to continuous improvement.
