Job summary

City of Melbourne is seeking a Manager, Internal Communications to lead a small team and shape how staff receive information, stay engaged and connected to city priorities.

You'll plan, deliver and evaluate internal content and campaigns across channels, with a strong emphasis on digital delivery and frontline, non-desk staff.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, you will partner with senior leaders to guide change, provide strategic advice, and strengthen employee experience.

Qualifications

• Leadership and stakeholder management experience in a complex organisation.
• Experience developing and delivering integrated communications strategies.
• Experience providing strategic communications advice on high-risk issues.
• Ability to evaluate communications effectiveness using evidence and insights.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and lead a team in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead clear, timely and engaging internal communications connecting staff to City priorities.
• Plan and deliver high-impact internal campaigns supporting major organisational initiatives and change.
• Lead and improve internal channels with emphasis on digital and frontline staff.
• Provide strategic communications advice and coaching to senior leaders and teams on complex matters.
