You will work across multiple projects, use research and analysis to inform decisions, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver integrated outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based planning, strong communication, and delivering sustainable, future-focused urban solutions in a dynamic city context.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in urban planning or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to strategic urban planning projects and balancing multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret planning data and develop clear insights.
• Sound understanding of land use planning, urban systems and city-shaping principles.
• Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to strategic urban planning projects delivering land use strategies and city-shaping initiatives.
• Develop evidence-based planning solutions through research, analysis and interpretation of trends and community needs.
• Contribute to planning policy and planning scheme amendments aligned with Council priorities and best-practice principles.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate spatial, economic, environmental and community considerations.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and strategic planning advice to support informed decision-making.
