Sandvik Mining is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for Surface Drills to grow the business across Western Australia and South Australia. This strategic role focuses on identifying and developing medium to long-term sales opportunities and engaging early in project lifecycles to influence equipment selection.

You will work with Tier 1 & 2 miners, EPCMs and contractors, lead opportunities through tenders, and collaborate with product management and service teams to maximise

Competenze

• 5+ years in business development, capital equipment sales or strategic account management within mining, heavy equipment or related industry.
• Experience leading tenders, RFQs, commercial proposals and contract negotiations.
• Strong understanding of surface mining, surface drilling, automation technologies or related mining solutions.
• Established networks and knowledge of WA and SA mining markets.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and value-selling capability.
• Ability to analyse market trends, customer requirements and pipeline performance.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, mining or related discipline.

Mansioni

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for Surface Drills in WA and SA.
• Build relationships with mining executives, operational leaders, procurement teams and commercial decision-makers.
• Develop visibility of customer mine plans, capex programs, fleet replacement strategies and future equipment requirements.
• Engage with mine owners, project teams, EPCMs and contractors early in projects to position Sandvik solutions.
• Lead major equipment opportunities from engagement through tender, negotiation and order placement.
• Coordinate RFQs, tenders, commercial proposals and internal approvals.
• Develop value propositions focused on productivity, safety, automation and lifecycle support.
• Maintain a sales pipeline and forecast future opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Applications Engineering, Automation, Service, Parts, Finance and Marketing to maximise outcomes.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and opportunities to support strategic growth.
• Champion Sandvik's commitment to safety, compliance and Zero Harm.
