Job summary

u&U Recruitment Partners is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive revenue growth across Power Utility Contractors, OEMs, and industrial markets. You will deliver technical presentations, build strategic partnerships, and manage an active prospect pipeline from initial contact to closing the sale.

The role requires a minimum of five years in business development or technical sales, strong industry knowledge, and excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years selling experience in business development or technical sales.
• Industry knowledge across electrical utilities, OEMs, industrial electrical and renewables projects.
• Strong technical aptitude to support industrial products with training and presentations.
• Proven ability to execute sales processes, quotations and tender bids.
• Solid negotiation skills and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a consultative approach.
• Strong computer literacy with CRM pipeline management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with growth and volume targets.
• Drive sales conversion and nurture long-term relationships with target accounts.
• Deliver technical/product presentations to customers to demonstrate value.
• Negotiate terms and agreements to optimise margins and partnerships.
• Prepare high-quality quotations, lead tenders and plan proactive calling/meeting schedules.
• Maintain target account plans to progress opportunities through the pipeline.
• Manage CRM data integrity and track activity KPIs (visits, calls, deals).
• Keep customers informed on technology trends and market insights.
