Job summary

Aggreko in Sydney seeks a Business Development Manager – Utilities to drive growth across power generation, renewables, BESS, microgrids, and grid support. You will work with utility customers, government agencies, developers, and infrastructure stakeholders to advance Australia’s energy transition.

Lead strategic sales efforts, manage complex opportunities, travel across Australia as needed, and contribute to a safety-focused culture and career development within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in utilities, energy, power generation, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM).
• Proven success in business development and strategic sales.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic growth plans for the Utilities sector.
• Identify and secure opportunities across power generation, renewables, BESS, microgrids, and grid support.
• Build strong relationships with utility, energy, water, and infrastructure customers.
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to meet revenue and margin targets.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, estimating, and proposals teams to deliver solutions.
• Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and energy transition trends to identify new opportunities.
• Represent Aggreko at customer meetings, industry forums, and conferences.
