Job summary

PCA Ground Engineering is hiring a Store Person for our office and yard in Arundel, Gold Coast. You will assist with stock and warehouse management, under the supervision of the Senior Store Person as part of the logistics team.

The role requires responsible handling of goods, accurate recording of stock locations, and adherence to safety policies. Forklift use is a key part of daily duties, with opportunities to grow within a specialist civil earthworks contractor.

Job Title: Store Person

Industry: Civil Construction

Employment: Full-time

Salary: $36 - $38 per hour plus penalties

About the role

We are currently looking to hire a Store Person at our office and yard in Arundel, Gold Coast. You will assist with stock and warehouse management, whilst working with the Senior Store Person as part of the logistics team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor and control of stock and parts under the direction of the Logistics Manager/Senior Store Person.
• Check goods on arrival and before despatch to site, ensuring they have the right products, in the correct quantity and that there is no damage.
• Use of forklift to assist in loading and unloading trucks and moving goods around the warehouse and yard for storage.
• Preparation of stock for various projects at one time.
• Recording when goods arrived and their exact location in the warehouse.
• Working safely in all aspects of the role an genuine belief in a safe work culture.

The ideal candidate will have the following mandatory attributes;

• Must maintain a Drug and alcohol-free status
• Current High-Risk Work license (Forklift)

The following attributes will be highly regarded:

• Prior experience in Civil Construction
• Construction Industry Induction Card
• Excavator, Telehandler or other general machinery tickets
• Current minimum Medium Rigid (MR) or Higher Truck license
• Technical Competence
