Job summary

Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is seeking a dedicated Stewarding Supervisor to support the daily operation of our Stewarding Department, reporting to the Chief Steward and guiding Ambassadors while ensuring kitchens and back-of-house areas remain safe and hygienic.

In this leadership role you will allocate duties, conduct pre-shift briefings, supervise during busy periods, monitor cleaning schedules and uphold HACCP and workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in stewarding or high-volume hospitality cleaning.
• Experience supervising a shift or team in a hotel setting.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP, cleaning/sanitation and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Stewarding Ambassadors during shifts and support daily operations.
• Allocate duties based on occupancy, events and cleaning priorities.
• Lead pre-shift briefings and ensure smooth handovers.
• Enforce daily and weekly cleaning schedules across areas.
• Train and coach staff to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
• Monitor equipment, inventories and report issues promptly.
