Job summary

Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to lead diverse hotel F&B operations, including restaurants, bars, conferences, events, and in-room dining. You will drive revenue growth, maintain luxury service standards, and mentor F&B managers and teams.

The role requires senior leadership experience in luxury hotel F&B, strong commercial acumen, and RSA certification.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in Food & Beverage operations within a luxury hotel environment.
• Senior management experience within Food & Beverage preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, Catering, Sales, or related discipline preferred.
• Current RSA/RSG certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience budgeting, forecasting, and managing labour costs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the strategic and operational management of all hotel F&B outlets.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability through innovative promotions and guest-focused initiatives.
• Maintain Sofitel luxury service standards and brand excellence across operations.
• Lead and develop F&B Managers, Supervisors, and outlet teams.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, payroll planning, and financial reporting.
• Monitor market trends, guest feedback, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Culinary to deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, liquor licensing, and company policies.
• Champion employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
